Globe Trot Scott Visits Israel

Globe Trot Scott has been busy!  We received another package from him today.  He has already visited Israel also.  It makes sense since Hanukkah is well under way there!  He was very thoughtful, he sent us dreidels and a recipe to make latkes!

The kids were so excited when I told them another package had arrived.  They had some really good guesses of where it might be from.  A few guesses were France, Texas, India, China, and Africa.  We opened the package and the kids were delighted to learn about Hanukkah.  They thought it was pretty cool that they get to celebrate for 8 days and nights.  We then got busy reading about Globe Trot Scott's Israel adventures and discovering more about the country he was visiting.  The kids were very excited to play the dreidel game.  Before they could get busy playing they had to learn the dreidel song and what the symbols mean.  Nun, Gimel, Hay, and Shin are not words they were familiar with.

While the kids were playing the dreidel game, I was busy frying up latkes for the kids!  I was really surprised, 11 kids liked the latkes and 4 didn't like them so much!  It was my first time making them and it was super easy!  See the recipe below.

I can't wait to see what Globe Trot Scott sends us next!

P.S.  Globe Trot Scott told me that we might need toilet paper rolls and empty soup cans for a few of the projects he is going to send us.  So, if you have any laying around your house please send them in!  We also need your empty plastic grocery bags.
