Dr. Seuss is on the loose in our classroom! Today we celebrated by reading a few more Dr. Seuss books! This morning we read If I Ran the Zoo and then the students made up their own crazy creature and wrote a story about it. They were very creative and I was impressed with the nonsense names they came up with!
Then in the afternoon we read, or attempted to read, Fox in Socks. For those of you unfamiliar with that story, it if full of tongue twisters and reading it out loud can be quite a challenge. We had fun and the kids tried to help me out a few times!
We designed our own crazy socks and then made a graph of who wore crazy socks and who did not.
